OCSS (OC Sim Series) is a league in Assetto Corsa centred around endurance races. They hold a few events each year and the last event of the year happened to be the Fuji Speedway 6 Hour. VHK contacted me, wondering if I would be interested in making up some graphics for them. And after a short brief, I was all-in on helping out ended up making a lot more than was initially planned!
The original plan was for me to make up the poster, some car showcases, and the car number plates and banners. However, through scheduling constraints, I also took on the responsibility of making the event logo itself, adopting a traditional Japanese style, fitting the location.
As the event drew near, it became apparent that there were some quality-of-life assets that should be made. So, I took it upon myself to create a starting grid graphic for each class after qualifying to be used in the Discord, alongside a video for the broadcast to view so they could understand the starting order.
The video below was made in quite haste just 6 hours before the green flag was waved. As such, there are some pacing issues and rough edges, but it got the job done.
